ASAP - Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol Peer Support Training
Join us for a multi-day (virtual and in-person) ASAP Peer Support Training event hosted by the Dayville Fire Company, Dayville, CT.
This training is sheduled for (16) hours of virtual training (from the comfort of your home/office) and (16) hours of In-Person training (to be held at the Dayville Fire Company).
This training will delve into psychoeducation around stress and trauma, explore why trauma is unique in first responders, and equip you with confidence in administering ASAP to your peers. Our experienced trainers will cover a range of topics to enhance your effectiveness as a peer supporter. Instructor:
The ASAP training will be facilitated by Sonny Provetto, LICSW, a former police officer, specializes in stress, trauma, coping, peer support & resilience. Sonny is the Clinical Director of the Vermont Center for Responder Wellness/ASAP Training Institute and a licensed EMDR Consultant with 36 years of combined experience working in the first responder field. He supports first responder agencies with the ASAP, peer support, & mental health training, contributing to national peer support guidelines.
Course Training Dates/Times:
This is a (32) hour credit hour course. All participants will need to attend the following dates to receive the ASAP Certification. Please review the following training schedule and ensure you will be able to attend ALL training dates prior to registering.
Virtual Session #1 Saturday Feb 8th - 0830-1630hrs (8) hours
Virtual Session #2 Sunday Feb 9th - 0830-1630hrs (8) hours
In-person Session #1 Saturday March 1st - 0830-1630hrs (8) hours
In-person Session #2 Sunday March 2nd - 0830-1630hrs (8) hours
*Virtual Training Session Zoom links will be sent to all registrants upon completing registrations process.
**In-Person Training Sessions will occur at the Dayville Fire Company, 465 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT.
